Letter from our Superintendent–July 14, 2020
July 14, 2020
Dear Parents and Guardians:
I want to make you all aware of the fact that a survey has been released for parents and stakeholders to share their thoughts regarding the start of school. The survey is posted on all of the school system’s websites. The survey will be available, and responses will continue to be accepted until 11:59 PM on Tuesday, July 21, 2020. Please call or email if you experience any difficulty accessing or completing the survey. Plans are also being made to have virtual or call-in meeting(s) to allow the public to provide additional input regarding the start of school.
Meriwether County Schools will continue to communicate updates as these plans become finalized primarily through the district website: www.mcssga.org. Once all input and data are considered, the school system will publicize a Reopening Plan for the restart of school on or before July 31, 2020. Please keep in mind that as situations change, these plans may change.
We have tremendous community and parental support, and we do not take those relationships for granted. I encourage your feedback as we realize this pandemic has created undue stress on our students, parents, and staff.
We appreciate our students, parents, and staff, and we want to be there for each of you.
Thank you,
Superintendent Dr. Robert Griffin
