Important Information
“Due to the threat of flooding and inclement weather from the current storm front, all traditional school instruction, learning, and extra-curricular activities will transition to remote learning for Wednesday, March 17, 2021. In addition to soaking rains that have occurred on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, 1-2 inches of additional rain is predicted overnight into Wednesday morning with locally higher amounts possible where stronger storms occur. Meriwether County bus routes service 580 miles of dirt roads, some with low-lying bridges, which become hazardous in these weather scenarios. Traditional learners who will learn remotely tomorrow, March 17, 2021, will be working on assignments, etc. There will be no requirement for the current traditional learners to access any learning platforms required of the current remote learners. All staff will report to their worksites and be available via phone and email after 8 AM tomorrow unless notified otherwise. The school system will continue to monitor this inclement weather situation and provide further updates if required. Thank you for your support and patience as we assure the safety and health of students.”
