MVES Presents at Model Schools
A team from Mountain View Elementary School was selected to inspire others to “Act for Impact” at the Model Schools Conference in Washington, D. C. on June 25th. We were among seven elementary schools chosen to share goals, passion, and plans for school improvement with 5,000 fellow educators across the nation. The title of the presentation, “Balancing Culture and Climate with Data-Driven Instruction,” shared our story of creating a positive culture through empowered decision-making. We discussed how the school climate is interwoven in increasing student achievement through goal-oriented data talks. It was a time of fellowship and connection with innovative educators. Taking our hometown to Washington D.C. was a journey that inspired us to learn from other experts as well as encourage other educators with our turnaround story.
